How my SCUBA equipments turned into ashes

That was me in photo looking for whatever is left in the fire.

Early April 2022, Panorama Diver, Perhentian Kecil dive centre burnt to the ground right after a heavy downpour. No one was hurt because the only person (DC Manager) living in the shop managed to escape. The exact cause of fire was not known or perhaps it cannot be revealed to the public.

It is very unlikely, almost never heard of that a dive centre destroyed in a fire. In my personal opinion, it was likely caused by serious negligence of fire safety.

My full set of equipments was in the fire. My beloved close to 10 years old dive equipments.

There is a chinese saying " if the old doesnt go, the new will never come" which makes sense.

I have a new full set of equipments, thanks to the fire?

The incident will forever be in my memorable encounters as a SCUBA diving professional.

I have since left the dive centre in search for a more suitable , ethical and perhaps happier place to make a living.
